Spotlight Review (스포트라이트, 2015)

In this world around of fake news, it is fortunate to know reliable articles and media outlets.

 

The "Spotlight" team in the Boston Globe, one of the three major U.S. dailies, covers child molestation cases by Catholic Boston parish priests.
The more they try to dig into the case, the more difficult it is, however, they don't give up. Finally, the faces of the priests hidden under sacred names are revealed.

 

What things make up your life?

Many people will choose their friends, old neighbors, and religious activities among the things that make up the home of life. Can you live without them? Would you choose if you could lose them? For both the interviewer and the interviewee, it was hard because they could be shut out from their neighbors, friends, and religion. The movie was based on a true story, so I was more immersed in it.

 

I can't forget the act of victims. At first, they don't show express their emotions, but after a short time, at a certain moment, they lose their words and show us deep sorrow and pain in their eyes.
How can I forget those scenes?
You can see very famous actors in this film but could not remind their former images because you get to focus on the 'spotlight' team's professionalism and supporting actors' great performance.
