Dangal Review(당갈, 2016)

This is the latest Indian movie I watched. I watched many movies in which Amir Khan starred so I trusted and watched the actor. He is so famous and loved that he is also called a national actor in India.

Former wrestler Mahabir Singh Pogat (Amir Khan) gives up wrestling without realizing his dream of winning a gold medal due to his father's opposition. The idea of achieving one's dream through a son is frustrated with the birth of four daughters.
Then one day, he finds daughters' potential when they fought with boys of their age.
Despite the stinging gaze and ridicule of the people, the first daughter (Patima Sanaa Sheikh) and the second (Sanya Malhotra) displayed their talent in their father's training, and even becoming a national wrestler.

Considering India's patriarchal social atmosphere, it could be hard to do their training for daughters. It reminded me of Korean society in the 1980s.
The movie was based on a true story, so I was able to watch it more immerse myself in it, and I was also moved.

Funny thing is, you can see from  Amir Khan's younger appearance to getting old in the movie. He filmed his fattening and old self first, and gradually lost weight and complete his young body shape later. It was interesting that the film was filmed in the opposite order of time.
