Serial Bad Weddings Review (컬러풀 웨딩즈, 2014)

La Laura 2020. 3. 30. 05:00

When I was a student, I spent a year in Bordeaux, France. I was strongly impressed that there were many different races and cultures. It would be good to live in a multicultural society with respect and respect for each other.
However, as in any society, discrimination exists everywhere. I have also been discriminated against as an Asian woman. Boys who seemed to be a middle school said to me 'Chinoise' which is a French word for a Chinese woman when I was studying in the library. I didn't expect to hear that in such a quiet public place. More than half of them were Arab and black, and they are around eight. I couldn't respond to anything such a sudden situation. I have regret that I didn't say anything.

The introduction of the movie was long. The film is a comedy about France in a multicultural society. The devout Catholic couple has four daughters, all married to Arab, Jew, and Chinese, and the fourth daughter brings African for a marriage partner.

There are many differences in culture and conflicts, but there are many things that the French can relate to. You can see the cultural difference between Arabs, Jews, Chinese, and Africans, and the process of harmony is both pleasant and interesting.

The lines in this movie are so interesting. I thought it was an obvious comedy movie because there are scenes that I can imagine with just the plot, but the lines of characters are witty and make me laugh all the time.
Each country is becoming increasingly receptive to a variety of races and cultures and is an unstoppable trend. You can tell just by looking at a virus spreading all over the world at once. I recommend that you take a look with an open mind.
